DAKS and The Hari collaborate for an award-winning ‘Belgravia in Bloom’ display.
The Hari is transformed with a striking flower display for #belgraviainbloom, the annual floral festival. The 2019 theme of ‘the language of flowers’ had British heritage clothier DAKS partner with modern luxury hotel, The Hari.
The display, designed by Amie Bone Flowers, featured a dense floral wall peppered with books and notes. DAKS supplied two mannequins dressed in Spring/Summer 19 clothing, whilst a two-seater bench in front of the display was the perfect opportunity for passers by to grab a selfie. Their effort won the award for People’s Choice and was Highly Commended for Best Themed Display.
We captured a time-lapse sequence of the flower display being installed by the Amie Bone team. We then returned several days later to document artist Caroline Towning hand-paint flowers on a canvas blazer, destined for the DAKS archive. For this video we used a blend of time-lapse and real-time footage to add interest. Edits of various lengths were distributed to the parties involved.
