In 1997, the London office of Brown Rudnick opened with two lawyers.

The process began with identifying participants from the firm who could make their diaries align with our filming date. The idea was to tell the origin story for the London office, recognise its importance within the wider international organisation, highlight some of its key programmes, and conclude with a vision for the future.

In the weeks before the shoot, we studied press releases and co-developed a series of questions we would structure the interviews around. Detailed scheduling and a familiarity with the location from prior shoots, enabled us to work quickly. A small film crew and lighting package meant we could switch interview setups several times throughout the day, which for visual interest was helpful. In the edit we played on the idea of a timeline to split the video into natural chapters.
